Our Story

Shop Image

Salvatore & Roscia at Eat More Cheese all started with a love for food, wine and entertaining. I have always loved the idea of ending a workday with a beautiful charcuterie plate, and a fantastic glass of wine.

The story behind the name...Salvatore is to pay homage to my father, Albert and his deep, rooted love of food and family. The name Roscia comes from my Italian grandmother Josephine. She is where I get all of my spunk!  I have always dreamed of having my own food and wine business and “finalmente” it is HERE!

It is my great pleasure to continue on with the cheese right of passage that my predecessors have passed on to me, while adding several of my favorite things that will enhance your shopping experience.  I truly hope that your first visit and every visit thereafter is both memorable and enjoyable.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to all of you who have made it possible for me to get to this place. I don’t need to thank you by name, you all know who you are. I couldn’t have done it without your constant support, love and persistent push for me to never lose sight of my dream. I am forever GRATEFUL!

Our Roots

I moved to Maine in the early 80’s with my family. I lived in a suburb of Boston with my two brothers and my parents. We grew up on delicious Boston bagels, garlic, homemade gnocchi and salami. I guess you could say my love of food started then.
I later got married and had two beautiful daughters. Chloé and Josie will be a big part of what makes Salvatore & Roscia special. You might see my husband Eric from time to time if a drain gets clogged or a shelf needs tightening. We are a family run business with a lot of heart!
